Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may display an “unknown app” warning when starting the installer.
On some Windows 11 systems, Smart App Control may block SL Now Playing completely.
SmartScreen normally provides a More info → Run anyway option.
Smart App Control does not provide a Run anyway option for an individual blocked application. If Smart App Control blocks SL Now Playing, you may need to change your Smart App Control settings in Windows Security before the application can run.

Yes.
The PC application must be running while you want SL Now Playing to receive media information from your computer.
You can close it whenever you are not using SL Now Playing.
Normally, no.
Once your HUD and PC application have been successfully paired, you should not need to repeat the complete pairing process every time you use SL Now Playing.
If a new pairing becomes necessary, SL Now Playing will require you to complete the pairing process again.
SL Now Playing may require a new setup when moving to another computer.
Use the official SL Now Playing download process and follow the setup instructions on the new computer.
Depending on your existing activation, additional steps may be required.

Your copy of SL Now Playing and its associated access are intended for the purchaser.
Do not distribute the SL Now Playing HUD, PC Application, download access or other product components to other users.
Yes.
Keep your original SL Now Playing Unpacker in your inventory.
You can attach it and click UNPACK again whenever you need a fresh copy of the included SL Now Playing items.
If you still have your original Marketplace delivery, simply use the Unpacker again.
If you no longer have the original delivery, use the available Second Life Marketplace redelivery option for your purchase.

Download links generated by the HUD are temporary and expire after approximately 5 minutes.
Simply return to your SL Now Playing HUD and request a new download.

The temporary download link is intended for one-time use.
If it has already been used or has expired, request a new download through the HUD.

YouTube playback is supported through the SL Now Playing browser integration.
For best results, the required Browser Bridge should be installed and active when using supported browser playback.

SL Now Playing can only use information made available by the player, browser or playback source.
Some applications provide complete track information while others may provide only limited information.
This does not necessarily mean that SL Now Playing is malfunctioning.
TEKIZMO may provide updates to improve compatibility, features, stability or security.
Information about important updates will be provided through the appropriate TEKIZMO channels and documentation.
Normal product updates are not intended to require purchasing the same product again.
If an update requires special steps, instructions will be provided by TEKIZMO.

SL Now Playing is designed to work with information about the media you are playing.
It does not stream the music itself from your PC to Second Life.
